Jones Construction Co. has become a participating partner in the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) ENERGY STAR® program to build certified energy-efficient homes.
In order to receive the ENERGY STAR® program distinction, homes must meet a multitude of independently monitored standards, all of which are mandated by the ENERGY STAR® program to provide the home buyer with a more durable and comfortable home that is also less expensive to maintain. Homes built under the program's guidelines must meet federal energy efficiency standards.
As a further financial incentive, the ENERGY STAR® program presents each owner with a certificate verifying the energy-efficiency and other value-added features of their home, enhancing the anticipated increase of investment value of the property. ENERGY STAR® has also assembled a network of financial partner companies that offer special mortgage options and reduced interest rates.
